Technologically Advanced Remote Applications

Products
TARA has developed technology that combines our own unique  4th generation non-directional infrared cordless control and its intelligent network concepts. - TARA - has not only superseded existing switch technology but also facilitated unprecedented flexibility and advanced building automation capabilities.

Our technology supports convenient user-friendly operation, and provides a platform for automation and energy management.

TARA has developed three product ranges targeting the building and home automation markets.

A: Building and Home Automation products

Stand-alone (Modular) products that are ideal for the retrofit of existing rooms and limited new - installation requirements; and
Networked products (InfraNet) that are deployed with remote infrared sensors, which enables intelligent control over entire buildings.

B: Customized solutions
Hotel Guestroom systems:
Software engineering:
Project consulting
IR lock-key technology

C: Logistic products
AGV modular technology
AGV network technology

With the TARA technology, we are able to interface all the necessary functions that are required to operate energy management, security, access control systems and other identified applications in a very cost effective way. All products support savings in electrical installation costs, particularly for hard-wall construction in buildings, resulting in a price competitive solution over comparable conventional hard-wired installations in many instances.

Product Description

TARA Modular System

A stand-alone system suitable for installation on a room-by-room basis.
Explained in its simplest form, the TARA Modular System has two main components, firstly the Receiver Unit, which is hard-wired to a power circuit and resides in the wall or ceiling cavity.
The Receiver acts as the remote power supply to the switch. It is a compact unit that can conveniently switch lights and other electrical devices.
The control unit is a cable-free Switch, which can be mounted almost anywhere in the room, or for the convenience of the disabled or infirmed, can be left portable. If supplementary switches are required, there is no need for extra cabling, as all the wiring is limited to the receivers, you simply add another switch

TARA InfraNet System

A networked system that uses our 4
th generation non-directional infrared to exchange commands and allows complete intelligent control over entire building functional requirements.
Data communications are exchanged through a combination of Infrared control and cabled network protocols. Commands are controlled by either TARA cable-free switches, TARA PC software or any 3rd party universal remote.
Essentially, the TARA Infranet System offers two different installation concepts –

Centralised installation  (TCS)

De-centralised installation. (TDS)

Centralized Installation
The TARA modules can be installed in one main distribution board. The module design conforms to DIN Rail, which allows the use of a variety of different distribution boards.

De-centralized Installation
In a de-centralised installation, the relay units, power supplies and other modules are split throughout an installation. This reduces the overall cabling requirements as each substation controls a section of the overall installation, which is linked to the network by only one data cable.
In an optimised installation, the benefits of both approaches might be leveraged by employing a combination of both TCS and TDS products.

Optional Infrared Controls
Any 3rd party universal remote control is compatible with TARA InfraNet.
It allows the user to access special system functions or integrate other devices into the network.
